Thompson Lange is owner/buyer for Homescapes Carmel and Homescapes Home & Garden, the home furnishings and garden stores in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California that he co-owns with his brother, Beau.  Homescapes Carmel opened in 1999 mixing plants, orchids, art and gifts with furniture and accessories collected around the world.  Homescapes Home & Garden opened in 2009 in the Barnyard Shopping Village, complimenting the downtown home store with garden whimsy and patio furniture, as well as the plants and orchids for which Homescapes has become known.

Thompson served as 2008 Board Chair of the Carmel Chamber of Commerce and is a contributing writer and retail advisory board member for several local and national magazines.  He has spoken at retail industry Gift Shows as a lecturer and panelist on subjects such as “Invention & Reinvention” and “Using Public Relations for Growing Business.”  He performs with a local jazz quartet, Junction68, and in his off time he’s run marathons on each of the world’s seven continents.
